Hi Hawks,

On Wednesday, June 13, is the Float Away Boat Races. Please join us for an evening of home-made boats and root beer floats. Below are the rules for the boats. Everyone can share in the root beer floats. The fun and festivities start at 6 pm.

Boat requirements:

Teams of 4 or less

Each boat must have a theme

Up to three noodles only

Only cardboard and waterproofing materials (ex. Trash bags, saran wrap, duct tape)

No more than 5 yards in length

No motors (including manual kicking)

No flotation devices except the three noodles

Paddles must be hand-made (no oars)

Hands are acceptable as paddles

Prizes will be given for first, second and third place plus a few other small prizes.
