Swim Team Practice starts Tomorrow!
We are thrilled to kick off the 2021 Swim Team season!
Each week we will send out the reminders for the week on Saturday or Sunday.
For practice this week only:
May 24th to 28th:
5th grade and under: 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM
Minnows: 4:15 PM - 5:00 PM (ONLY Wed, Thurs, Fri)
6th and up: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
(Minnows practice will only be Wed, Thurs, Fri this week)
Weather Policy
Practice and Meets will be held if the air temperature is 55 degrees or above and it is not thundering or lightning. If the air temperature is below 55 and there is no threat of thunder and lightning, the coach will make a determination based on the conditions. (Options could include: dryland practice, swim practice or canceling practice). If in doubt, please check the website or pool gate for a posted sign. As the parent, you may of course make the final decision whether your child should swim or not based on current weather conditions.
Minnows
Minnows practice starts on Wednesday this week and will not be held in the water on any day this week. This will be a great time to meet some of the coaches and other swimmers. During Minnows practice, we ask a parent of each minnow to stay on the pool deck, and be available if needed.
Practice
Per pool rules, all swimmers age 8 and under must have a parent (or sibling/babysitter over age 13) accompany them to the pool. This includes swim practice.
Coaching Staff
The time stated for practice is short and intense and the coaches need to give their full attention to the swimmers during this time. If you have questions for the coaches, please discuss them after all practices have concluded. If you have an urgent issue, please contact a parent rep.
We are so excited to have the team back together again! We still have room on the team for a few more swimmers, please invite your neighbors!
